About Me

I am blessed with 2 beautiful children, a son and a daughter.

I came across Hypnobirthing in my second pregnancy and was immediately hooked, particularly on the physiology of birth aspect of the course. I loved knowing what was happening inside my body and how I could help the process!

I really wish I could remember who introduced me to it so I could say a massive thank you.

At the time I didn't think my first birth was a particularly negative experience, but looking back, I did feel out of control for the best part of it. This doesn't sit that well with me. When I compare it to my second birth where I felt completely in control, calm, empowered and to be honest...a bit like Superwoman, I can't help but feel a little disappointed.

Since having my second child, I have recommended taking a Hypnobirthing course to every pregnant person I have known. I really believe it can make a huge difference to the pregnancy and birth experience. I continue to use the knowledge and techniques I learned in the course in everyday life and so I have definitely had my money's worth (I'm also a qualified accountant so this is important to me!)

When I hear people's birth stories that they don't consider to be positive, it makes me really sad. I would like everyone to be able to look back and know that the decisions that were made in their birth experience were their own, informed and the right thing for them and their baby.

I am excited to share my course with others, as I truly believe in the power of it. I am in awe of the power of a woman or birthing person's body and fascinated by how the different elements of the body and mind work together during labour and birth.

I think (and hope) that my excitement and enthusiasm will encourage the people who take a course with me. I am willing to really invest my time and support, and not just during the course, but for as long as you need me!

Then I will know I have done what I can to help the people I teach prepare to have a positive birth experience.

Here's me in my zone with a cup of tea in the birth pool! Doing things we love during labour helps to release the hormones required for birth, and I love drinking tea!
